2021 set to be a strong year for higher quality Polished Diamonds for Profit

3rd Feb De Beers reported $650m of rough sales at its first sight of 2021 – the highest figure for three years. A positive sigh the supply chain is beginning to restock in readiness for 2021 sales activity.
Alrosa
11th Feb Alrosa reported total rough and polished sales of $430m for January, up six per cent year-on-year. Demand was firming, especially in China and the USA.
Financial Times
16th Feb Financial Times columnist Merryn Somerset-Webb reported a 10 per cent rise in the Bloomberg Commodity Index for the last quarter of 2020 and commented; “2021 could be the year it really gets going”.
Bain & Company
Bain & Company consultancy reported a 13 per cent price increase in 1 ct higher quality polished diamonds from May through to December 2020.
